Pioneer Days

Last Thursday David and I went down to Sanford for the Pioneer Days Parade and Atticus Sunvison's birthday party. The parade was fun and the boys had a great time. See for yourself.

Saturday, Dustin, David and I took my dad and two of my sisters to the Pioneer Days Celebrations in Manassa. We all had fun. The parade was big. The rides were fun. The motor cross was exciting. A little funny story about the motor cross: my youngest sister said that we should put David in motor cross to which I said no way! Not long after arriving there was an accident in the younger kids group right in front of where we were sitting (the kid was okay after a while). I turned to my sister and told her that was the reason why David would not be in motor cross.

David riding the carousel with my sister Ashley. When the ride was over, he got off without throwing a fit, kicking and screaming. I was so proud! He also got to ride a little train and did very well all by himself. he got off of that ride without problems too.

Zapata Falls Attempted

Last Friday we attempted going to Zapata Falls with my dad and two of my sisters. When we got to the top this is what we found....

rain, wind, and lightening. Not a good combination for hiking or for hiking with a 2 1/5 year old. I didn't want to get out of the car so I just held the camera outside the door. It was cold! Obviously we weren't able to go with my family but Dustin and I have decided to try going again this next Wednesday. Wish us luck.

Memory Lane

Directions:

1.  As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together.  It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a low, anything you remember!

2.  Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you.  It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses.  If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

**Also, for those of you that are avid readers of this blog and have wondered what the heck has been going on, have no fear and lot of posts will be coming in the next week or so, depending on how much time I have.

Mr & Mrs Potato Head

Yesterday the potato heads were brought out to entertain all the kids that were over for the lunch demonstration.  After everyone left I cleaned up.  Every time I got the potato heads all put away David wanted to play with them.  So we basically played with them all day long.  Last night David came up with them creations (with my help putting all the pieces in the holes) put them off to the side from the rest of the potatoes and called them Mommy and Daddy.  Can you guess which is which?
