Grow, Grow, Grow

My little baby is not so little anymore!
Matthew is growing up so fast!

He eats solid food now, we started with rice cereal which was exciting at first but now if it's plain not so much fun.  His favorite food so far is carrots - he just loves them!  These are pictures of Matthew's first adventures with solid food - I'll get some more current ones soon, when we can get a really good picture (either because he's so messy or so happy).  Matthew really gets to giggling when I wipe off his hands with a washcloth after he's done eating.  I don't know what's so funny about it but he just giggles and it's really cute.

Matthew sits up very well, unsupported.  This started on August 3rd.  I'm so proud of him.  If I have to put him down unless he's on a blanket I try to put him in the corner so that if he falls over he is slowed a little bit.  These were some pictures from a morning when I was working upstairs and Matthew was having fun with toys in the corner.

Isn't he just the cutest little boy you have ever seen in your life?!?

We have gotten very close on the crawling but we're not quite there.  He actually did crawl while we were in Salt Lake for my sisters wedding but it has not been replicated since that day - so we wait.

Daddy gets ready

Dustin was trying to get ready for his big backpacking trip (he will post the pictures/adventures).
The boys were "helping"
David fits perfectly inside the pack, he probably could've gotten away with it.

Matthew tested out the sleeping bag.  He actually fell asleep on it and took his afternoon nap there.  It worked good!

Dustin did eventually get everything in his back pack that he needed and had all of his gear for the trip.

We took a little trip

Mid-July we took a quick trip to Colorado.
We had tickets to attend the Rapid's game and so we went.
We spent most of our time in Johnstown visiting with our friends the Padillas.
We had a great time playing games and the kids got along great!  David and Andrew couldn't have had more fun.  Sunday afternoon this is what those two were up too:

At first Andrew had on the top half of the bat costume and David had on the bottom half.  It evolved from there.  Andrew ended up completely dresses as the bat and David was Mr. Incredible.  The costumes came off for a short time so that we could have dinner.  As soon as those boys were done with their dinner the costumes were back on again.  Oh what fun they had!
We had a great trip and loved being able to see some of our friends in Colorado.

David & the Hose

There once was a boy named David,
He wanted to be just like his uncle Brian.
David's mom saw it coming,
And closed the window and door.
