A Story

There once was a boy named David.  

He loved to pick up bugs and observe 

them.  David loved little bugs.  One 

day he found a green butterfly and had 

to bring it home on a stick to his mommy.  

Oh how David loved this butterfly!  The 

only problem was that the butterfly wanted 

to go home to his mommy and daddy, or at 

least that's what David's mommy told him.  

David was curious about where this butterfly's 

home was.  David's mommy said that the 

butterfly lived in a tree.  David wanted the 

butterfly to make it home so he told the butterfly 

which direction to fly.  Apparently the green 

butterfly didn't speak human and needed some 

help getting to the tree.  David daddy carried the 

butterfly to the tree.  David was anxious about 

how the green butterfly was doing in the tree 

and went to check on him.  David's daddy went too. 

David wanted to sit in the tree since there was no 

butterfly present, David's daddy put him in the tree.  

David didn't want to leave the tree.  David's daddy 

tried to get David down by saying they could eat 

dinner if they went home.  David said he wanted his 

plate in the tree.  David also said he wanted to sleep 

in the tree.  David said it was "David's tree house".  

David's daddy tried to bribe him out of the tree but 

David caught onto that really quick.  David helped in 

the bribes, and this is how it went:

Daddy:  David do you want

David:  a drink of milk?

Daddy:  a drink of milk?

David:  no.  A cup of water?

Daddy:  a cup of water?

David:  no.....

David's daddy tried walking away saying that he would 

see him later and asked where David would sleep.  

David was sitting stradled on a branch and laid his head 

down and said, "I sleep".  This continued until David's 

daddy found something that David wanted that couldn't 

be in the tree....letters on the computer.  David joyfully 

got out of the tree and upon entering the house 

proclaimed LETTERS!

Later in the evening after dinner David suddenly ran to 

the door and tried to exit.  David was off to his tree house.  

David's daddy brought him back inside.  David is now 

sleeping in his bed....inside his mommy and daddy's house.
