Babies are in the Air

That's right people the babies have taken flight. Today when we were at our summer reading program the Starling parents were teaching their babies how to fly. One baby was unfortunate enough to land/fall right near all the kids. The baby wasn't hurt but he did have lots of kids all around which made the parents freak out and cry A LOT! Finally a parent moved the baby bird into a tree so that he would get run over by kids. I don't know if the bird parents ever figured out where their baby was.
This afternoon when looking out the window to watch the birds at the bird feeder, I noticed that we have a baby House Sparrow visiting. I went out side to get a picture but as soon as I opened the door he flew away. Next time I'll just photograph through the window even though I hate doing that.
So bird parents all over Alamosa are teaching their babies how to fly and forage for food (not too hard around our house since we feed them multiple times a day). It's so fun to see the baby birds out. I don't know that I have ever noticed them before but it is fun this year.
