Well, David and I have returned from Texas. We had a great time, saw many things and visited with family members on Dustin's side of the family. We are glad to be back and pictures will be available over the next couple of days. I need to get the pictures organized and in order.
We left for Texas with Dustin's mom Sharon on Sunday, May 25th. At the beginning of our trip Sharon and I decided to keep a tally on the number of Walmart stores we saw, here's the results:
Colorado = 0
Kansas = 3
Oklahoma = 0
Texas = 27 (+/- 2)
New Mexico = 2
Now just to clarify we had to actually see the building and it was usually while we were driving. In Texas we even saw one of the Walmart distribution centers, it was HUGE!
It took us 2 1/2 days to get to Pasadena, TX and 2 1/2 days to get back to Alamosa, CO (that included one very long driving day!) In the course of all of our travels we were able to be in almost every part of Texas. We were in the panhandle, the prairies and plains, the gulf coast, the hill country and maybe even a little of the west. We really only missed the piney woods.
