Life at Home

Matthew LOVES Dustin's boots!

This is a picture of Matthew's "uniform". He puts on his dog tags, his army patrol cap, Dustin's boots and calls it his uniform. He's done this for 2 days now.

Dustin enjoying a Sunday afternoon movie with the boys on a rainy Sunday.

It is so nice having Dustin home with us, even if it is just for a short amount of time. I love having him home with me and someone to sleep with. I love that he spends time with the boys and backs me up when they act up. I love how much he likes to hold Benjamin, watch Benjamin and burp Benjamin. I love that he is an extra set of hands around here. I love that he intercepts boys that try to come in at night. I love that he is home!

Dustin is glad to be home too!

After we got home on Friday, Dustin checked the house and backyard out; we went to the store and upon getting home out came the grill promptly followed by his disc golf practice basket.

After getting in trouble and counting out the tickets he had to return to me for name calling and disobeying...

"Here mom, tickets for making me dinner"

I had to correct him that I don't earn tickets these were tickets he had lost. Still pretty funny though - I had a hard time keeping a straight face.

"Mom, Lukas broke your head off." The boys had been playing light sabers in the living room and one of my Willow Tree figurines was a casualty - don't worry we just glued it back on.

"I have a new Emma!" David informed us on the way home from church. Apparently there is a girl named Emma in his primary class and she's a different Emma than when we lived in Fort Collins.

"I live in Pocatello, I like living in Pocatello. I also like living in FortCollinsColorado." Said to Dustin while walking out to the dumpster to take some trash out.

Too funny, since we just told him today that we would be moving again and he wasn't happy about it but when we showed him pictures of possible places for us to live he got excited.

"Cheeky Chuckle", "Tater Tots", Fussy Funnel", are just a few phrases that David says in frustration, silliness or as an expression of emotion.

David had asked to drive, Dustin had said in 15 years. David counted to 5 and considered that good to drive.

Wanting to share my smoothie with me and being told he had to finish his milk, David caught me sipping my smoothie and said, "Don't start drinking mommy!"

After looking at the drawing of David and me David commented that he wanted a baby. I asked him what kind of baby he wanted a brother or a sister. He responded with brother, sister, brother. Finally this is what I got from him, "I want a baby sister then a baby brother."

(This was also repeated to Dustin while he caught up on LOST tonight)

On Saturday we told David that we were going to buy kids vitamins to help him get big and strong. Today when I tried to give a vitamin to him he said "I don't want to be big, I want to stay little".
