Leaps and Bounds

....that's how David vocabulary is growing.  Often times I can't believe the words and sentences that come out of his mouth!  No wonder they say that childhood is the best time to learn a new language, the kids pick it up so quickly!  Anyway...this is conversation that transpired this afternoon:

David:  What are you doing Mom?

Me:  I'm making brownies.

David:  Yeah, I'm hungry

Me:  I'm going to make dinner in just a minute.
We're going to have Mac & Cheese dog Casserole

David:  That sounds excellent Mom!

Me:  That sounds excellent?

David:  Yeah, I'm hungry.  I didn't eat my lunch.

Very cute. He even used his new vocabulary word correctly. It is amazing to me how kids learn our language. I think it is cute that he told you why he was hungry.

that is seriously one of the biggest reasons i LOVE the little guys(though collin does his share of saying great things as well)
jack told me last night when he worke up froma bad dream that he was "afriad" not scared, afraid...i'm not sure that i've ever heard that before...and i've noticed that pbs is really big into vocab and words more so than when we were little...and they use big words so the kids pick them up....like scrumptious is a word that they use on sesame street....it is funny though coming out of little mouths!
